Volunteers are busy building the 41st community float for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. All are invited to lend a hand on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. by showing up at the side gate of the Valley Water Company at 4524 Hampton Road in La Cañada. Volunteers can pull up to the fence and honk their car horn to get in. Absolutely no experience is necessary.
This year’s float, Tree Frog Night, features three musically talented frogs, two fish, a ladybug and dragonflies. The float is tall this year, measuring 23’ 6” high and 50’ long. It is the only float in the parade built and decorated entirely outdoors.
