USC Verdugo Hills Hospital recently held its Annual Health Fair. There were a variety of informational booths for people to stop and visit, including one promoting a child ID program, car seat safety and hands-on CPR training; however, the longest line was at the free flu shot booth.
People of all ages stood in line, filled out the required form, held their breath and got their flu shot. There were some tears from the younger ones in line but, for the most part, it was an easy way for people to protect themselves from the flu this season.
The children were able to take part in face painting, pumpkin carving and, of course, see the gear provided by the Los Angeles and Glendale fire departments.
