Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital Receives Clinical Recognition

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 2018 five-star recipient for knee surgery and valve surgery, following this year’s evaluation from Healthgrades, the leading online resource for comprehensive information about physicians and hospitals. Every year, Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance at nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for 34 of the most common inpatient procedures and conditions.*

These achievements are part of findings by Healthgrades featured in its 2018 Report to the Nation. The new report demonstrates how clinical performance continues to differ dramatically among hospitals regionally and nationally.

“It is rewarding to know we are achieving our mission and ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our patients while providing excellent care to all,” said Julie Sprengel, senior vice president, Operations, Dignity Health SoCal and interim president, Glendale Memorial Hospital.

In addition to being a 2018 five-star recipient for knee surgery and valve surgery, Glendale Memorial is also a 2017 five-star recipient for vaginal delivery, five-star recipient for C-section delivery and five-star recipient for hysterectomy by Healthgrades.

“Consumers place high value on information about hospital quality and use it to evaluate their choices for care,” said Brad Bowman, MD, chief medical officer, Healthgrades. “Hospitals that have achieved recognition for their quality outcomes prove their commitment to their patients and their community at large.”
