The Kiwanis Club of La Cañada recently held an “Apples for Teachers” luncheon program to welcome the incoming LCUSD kindergarten to 12th grade instructors and staff. As LCUSD Superintendent Wendy Sinnette addressed the crowd, a sense of joy was felt in the room as she talked about the excellent team assembled to help students reach their best potential.

With Kiwanis member Dr. Michael Leininger serving as the event liaison, school principals introduced their respective instructors and staff members and talked about the exemplary experience they brought to the district.

The “Apples for Teachers” event is a Kiwanis International worldwide program whose mission is to recognize those individuals who help and encourage youth.
