AHEAD With Horses won the Red Tricycle Totally Awesome Award for Bright Classes for Kids with Special Needs in Los Angeles 2016. Red Tricycle is a website that promotes families doing things together and gives parents ideas and advice on how to be the best parent they can be.

Local students Sacha Greenfield of La Crescenta and Ryan Schloessmann of Glendale were named to Carleton College dean’s list. In recognition of academic excellence, the dean’s list is drawn from the top 10% of students in each class.
Founded in 1866, Carleton College is a national top 10, private liberal arts college in the historic river town of Northfield, Minnesota, 45 miles south of Minneapolis/Saint Paul. Best known for its academic excellence and warm, welcoming campus community, Carleton offers 37 majors and 15 concentrations in the arts, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.

Kathryn Moser, a student at the University of San Diego, is beginning a second year as a member of Mortar Board, a national honor society recognizing students for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service.
Moser of La Crescenta is majoring in communication studies and marketing.
Moser expects to graduate in May 2017 and has not yet decided a path to take post undergraduate study.
Mortar Board, founded in 1918, has more than 200 chapters across the country and chartered on the USD campus in the fall of 2000. After students are selected, they continue to serve the University and community through special projects.
