The Crescenta Valley Sheriff Support Group celebrated a successful fundraising dinner at the Oceanview Bar & Grill recently. Along with the members of the support group, other community members, including retired firemen John Wray and Mike Haney, stopped in to support the cause.
The Crescenta Cañada Rotary Club moved their weekly meeting so that they could also support the local sheriff’s station. Rotarian Mike Sharr from SIG Properties won the grand prize of airfare for two to Las Vegas, which was donated by Montrose Travel.
The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Support Group helps maintain the important connection between the community and the Sheriff’s Dept. They support programs such as STAR, Montrose Search and Rescue, Explorer Scouts, Civilian Volunteers, Reserves, Mounted Posse, Neighborhood Watch, Arson Watch and CERT. They raise funds to pay for specialized equipment and other programs necessary for operations at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.
