Locals Recognized for Academic Achievements

Jacob Walker, Katlyn Waferling, Kathryne Nida, Kristen Muche, Ian Chessum, Lindsey Soderstrom, Jane Park, Elizabeth Charky and Audrey Harris earned a spot on the spring dean’s list at Azusa Pacific University, Whittier College, Connecticut College, Juniata College, and Drew University.

Jun Hyung graduated from Azusa Pacific University.

Seung Park, Hannah Wilson and Teby Wammack graduated from Emory University, Denison University, Point Loma Nazarene University, St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and Azusa Pacific University.

Luke Webster and Mae Colcord earned a spot on an honors list at Gonzaga University and Clark University.

Justin Park participated in drama and musical activities at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Jacob Walker, Hyun Seok Kim, Ian Chessum, Lindsey Soderstrom, James Ferioli, and Elizabeth Charky earned a spot on the dean’s list at Azusa Pacific University, Whittier College, St. Mary’s College of Maryland and Connecticut College.

At Biola University, Elizabeth Mak from Glendale, Samuel Cho from La Crescenta and Anna Tichon from La Cañada earned a spot on the dean’s list.

Biola students are placed on the dean’s list to honor those with a grade point average of 3.6 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credit units and whose cumulative grade point average is at least a 3.2. This past spring, 26% of Biola students achieved this academic goal.

Savannah College of Art and Design recognized Carol Kim of La Cañada for her academic achievement by placing her on the dean’s list.

Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the dean’s list.

Laura Emmons of La Cañada, a sophomore at Westminster School in Simsbury, Conn., earned high honors for the fall 2011 academic term.
