Mayor Michael D. Antonovich has appointed Alice Petrossian to the Los Angeles County Commission for Women.

A resident of Glendale, Petrossian received her Master of Arts Degree in education administration from California State University Los Angeles. She has served as deputy superintendent of the Pasadena Unified School District and assistant superintendent of the Glendale Unified School District.

She is the former president of the Association of School Administrators and a member of
the Armenian Education Foundation.

Members of the Los Angeles County Commission for Women work in partnership with the Board of Supervisors, county departments, community groups and organizations on key policy decisions affecting the lives and well-being of women.

Kevin Roberts has been appointed president/CEO
of Glendale Adventist

Medical Center. He assumed his new role at the facility on Dec. 5. He is the former CEO of Castle Medical
Center in Kailua, Hawaii.

During his tenure at Castle Medical Center, he led the development of a joint venture multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center, initiated Castle Surgical Weight Loss Institute, which has become the premier bariatric surgery program in Hawaii, and achieved designations in other service lines.

Prior to Castle Medical Center, Roberts served as COO/CNO at South Coast Medical Center for four years, and led Clinical Operations Consulting for Adventist Health. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Science from California State University Sacramento, and a master’s degree in Public/Health Services Administration from the University of San Francisco.
