VHH HOSTING BLOOD DRIVE

Verdugo Hills Hospital (VHH) will hold a community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  today, Thursday, Dec. 17 in the Hospital’s Council Room, located on the fourth floor. Before donating, blood donors must be in good health; be at least 17 years of age; bring photo I.D., weigh at least 110 pounds; drink plenty of water; eat a nutritious meal; and have not received tattoos within the last 12 months. All blood collected will go to Verdugo Hills Hospital.  All participants will receive a Free Cold Stone Creamery Creation and a voucher for two tickets to a Los Angeles Clippers game. LCWC, HISTORICAL SOCIETY HOSTING POTLUCK

The Historical Society of the Crescenta Valley and the La Crescenta Woman’s Club invite the community to join them in celebrating the holidays by enjoying a Christmas party potluck. The potluck is at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21 at the La Crescenta Woman’s Club. The theme this year is “Memories of Christmas Past” and on display will be items that bring back memories of that special Christmas. The Crescenta Valley High School Charismatics will be performing. Admission is: A special toy, decoration, or photo to share that harkens back to a Christmas from your past and a food or dessert to share.

The La Crescenta Woman’s Club is located at 4004 La Crescenta Ave., on the corner of La Crescenta and Piedmont avenues.
