At its annual meeting, the Crescenta Valley Sheriff Support Group presented outgoing president Lisa Dutton with a gift for her two years of service to the board. She will remain on the board as the immediate past president. The group voted to install Leo Lesh as the new president.

Leo and his wife Leslie are the owners of Leo’s All-Star Bar and Grill in La Crescenta.

Other support group officers include Bobbie Parker as VP, Steve Clement as treasurer and Lynda Bayly as secretary.

The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Support Group helps maintain the connection between the community and the Sheriff’s department. The support group holds an annual membership drive, Day at the Races, in conjunction with the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and an annual Golf Classic in conjunction with the Desi Geestman Foundation. The group also supports programs such as STAR, Montrose Search and Rescue Team, Explorer Scouts, civilian Volunteers, Reserves, Mounted Posse, Neighborhood Watch, CERT and Arson Watch. The support group is charged with raising funds to pay for specialized equipment and other programs necessary to operations at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. The group is comprised of all volunteers, so that all the money raised goes directly to the station to benefit the community.
