The Verdugo Glen chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) was named one of two California ABWA chapters to receive a Best Practices in Team Management Award – Level I, as announced by its national headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas. There were only four chapters in the 13 western United States to receive this coveted award.
The special event ceremony was held at the recent ABWA’s National Women’s Leadership Conference and 65th anniversary celebration in Overland Park where Verdugo Glen was presented with the award for attaining the highest level of achievement and group management. Representing the chapter were Ardis Bazyn and Lynn White-Shelby of Burbank and Dr. Martha Preciado of Tujunga.
The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.
