Ellen Farewell (above), philanthropy chair of Oakmont League of Glendale, organized a drive to collect unwrapped toys from League members and delivered them to Glendale Fire Station 26 on North Brand Boulevard in mid-December.

Receiving the donations were Firefighters Anthony Stepanov and Joshua Benedict and Engineer Jessie Castro.

2023 marks the 31^st year of the Spark of Love Toy Drive. Participants include the Glendale Fire Dept. and the County of Los Angeles Fire Dept., ABC7, Toys for Tots and Southern California firefighters.

New, unwrapped toys and sports equipment will be given to underserved children and teens in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura and Riverside counties during the holidays.
