Say Cheese!

Recently I was watching a recorded episode of “The Pioneer Woman.” As I was fast-forwarding the commercials, a familiar scene caught my eye. Hey, that’s right in front of my store! It’s Montrose! I quickly backed up and watched as the latest national Sargento Cheese commercial showed the stretch of Honolulu with Montrose Bakery, Paradis Ice Cream, Avignone’s, and Revelation Tops. It was such fun a surprise, right there on the Food Network! Wait a minute! I think I have pictures of this shoot. I checked my files and sure enough there they were, taken last July.

The Montrose Shopping Park is a place where you can experience what I call “Shop & Film.” These days you just never know who you might see, filming anything from a national commercial to a blockbuster movie. It’s fun to shop and have some special entertainment while you are doing it. This year several major movies will be hitting the theaters and the Montrose Shopping Park and your favorite stores will be in them. I have more news to share on this subject soon.

In this pic, Montrose Bakery & Café was transformed for the commercial with café tables adorned with French lavender. It looked quite charming.
