“The universe is like a big mail-order department, constantly delivering people, events and things to you. You ‘order’ what you get by sending energetic messages out to the universe based on your predominant beliefs. But if you have mixed messages in your file, the universe can’t understand your order.”
— T. Harv Eker
The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is also a big mail-order department, constantly delivering people, events and things to you. To make sure we are sending the right message, I’d like to print our mission statement: The purpose of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is to promote the civic, economic, industrial, professional and cultural welfare of the Crescenta Valley. We seek to educate all citizens on the role and importance of a healthy economy to the community’s existence.
We are here to be your resource and to help in whatever way we can. We bring to you events, people and things to help promote your business and, in turn, help support a healthy economy.
If you need a boost to help promote your business and energize your sales, Kim T. Gordon on Entrepreneur.com gives these “Seven Ways to Energize Sales.”
1) Reestablish listening posts, as smart marketing relies entirely on understanding your customer. 2) Announce special promotions and use special incentives to draw customers to short-term promotions. 3) Polish lead management and be certain everyone who takes inbound calls asks every new lead where they heard about your company. 4) Focus on fresh ideas and don’t rely exclusively on a small team or just your marketing staff to produce fresh ideas. 5) Renew retention campaigns by using regular email or direct mail promotions that go out to your entire customer base. 6) Enhance your giving as in this era of rising social responsibility, customers and prospects want to know you’re a good corporate citizen, and this is a great time to align with a nonprofit. Businesses that rely on local customers benefit from helping community-based causes. You can provide pro bono services or undertake a promotional campaign to raise charitable funds. (The CV Chamber is a great place to do this.) 7) Freshen your content, update your website and re-evaluate your family of sales and marketing tools.
These seven ideas are a great start and the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce can help you with much more. Come and visit us, give us a call or let us know how we can help you or your business.
