Lucky 13 over 25!
“In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” ~ Abraham Lincoln
We are still celebrating over here! Last week we tipped our hats to three members who have been an important part of our chamber for over 30 years, Andy’s Transfer & Storage, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, and Crescenta Valley Tow. This week, the excitement continues, and we are particularly lucky to be celebrating 13 over 25!
How many of these businesses are part of your everyday life?
The Foothill Municipal Water District supplies water to the Crescenta Valley Water District, and we rely on them for high quality, dependable water and service. This, of course, leads us to Tim Mitchell, who knows the ins and outs of plumbing the homes in our valley, having owned Tim Mitchell’s Plumbing Service since 1985.
Southern California Edison provides electricity and Wortman Oil Company, which owns the Shell station at Foothill Boulevard and Cloud Avenue, provides fuel to power our vehicles; both can be insured by Sutherland-Scherff & Associates Insurance or by contacting Warren Boehm, one of our esteemed directors, who owns Warren Boehm Insurance.
A personal favorite, the Crescenta Cañada Family YMCA, provides great programs for the entire family to keep your mind and body fit; however, if you need other health amenities, visit the La Crescenta Pharmacy.
We’ve got a local computer system integrator, known as Automation Access, specializing in connecting customers’ needs with programs and products.
Trotta Floor Coverings has a great eye for detail and can help elevate the look of your floors and windows, while Bronson Photography, also with a keen eye, has a knack for capturing the precious moments in our lives and showcasing them in their showroom…even your old CVHS high school senior picture from years ago.
All of these Lucky 13 can be found in what’s known as “Southern California’s oldest independent Yellow Pages,” serving us since 1940, the Crescenta-Cañada Directory.
And there you have it, 13 very valuable members of our chamber who have been with us for over 25 years!
Our February business mixer is on Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is hosted by Crescenta Valley Insurance. Since 1969, CVI has been providing quality insurance services, and this year they celebrate 45 years of serving not only our foothills but also our neighboring cities … and beyond. CVI is a trusted entity in our community, providing personal, face-to-face professional service and always striving to meet the needs of their clients.
Rick Dinger takes pride in being CVI’s president and told me, “We value the partnership we have created with the community and have enjoyed each of the 45 years we have been in business and look forward to many more great years in the future.”
Join Rick, his outstanding agents and staff in celebrating this milestone and enjoy networking, great food and friends. We are looking forward to mixing with you!
Tickets are now available for the Crescenta Valley Day at the Races, benefiting the Crescenta Valley Sheriff Support Group. It takes place on Sunday, March 16 at Santa Anita Race Track. Adults are $25 and kids 17 and under are $15. Call the chamber office to make your reservation or visit us online.
