Montrose Shopping Park News: Feel the love in Montrose!

By Mary Dawson

When I think of Valentine’s Day, I think red, white, pink, angels, baking, hearts and love. I love being in Montrose during the Valentine season. So many of our stores are in “Valentine“ mode. We enjoy this day. It’s a happy day. Whether you have “that special someone” in your life or not, you will “feel the love” on the streets of The Montrose Shopping Park. Why do we call it a “park”? It’s because you need to park yourself here for a while and get away from your routine. ( I just made that up!)
This week I would like you to meet two brothers that are fairly new here. Tom and Tony are the new owners of Jane’s Cakes & Chocolates  (2331 Honolulu Ave.) www.janescakesandchocolates.com. They bought the business last year. Tom is a personal injury litigation lawyer with a passion for baking. His brother Tony moved here from Michigan three months ago as Tom’s business partner. Tony owned a restaurant and bakery in Michigan so he is well acquainted with the business. These two have decided to make Jane’s the must stop place for all of your baking and candy making needs. They have expanded their selection and have hard to find items that no one else has. They literally have a wall of special Valentine baking supplies. Tom & Tony believe in customer service and are on site to answer any of your baking questions. Stop in between now and Valentine’s Day and get 10% off your purchase. You will be inspired here!
Here’s a bunch of other Valentine stuff to do: Go to Critters and get chocolate lip lollipops wrapped in red foil. Stop in Paper Rabbit for all kinds of Valentine goodies, cards, a “LOVE” Book, stickers, and more. Buy a Valentine top at Revelation Tops. Their window is like a Valentine. Have Valentine tea at The T Room. Go to Montrose Home Bakery and check out the Valentine cupcakes and a whole assortment of wonderful Valentine cakes and cookies. Go To Paradis and order a scoop of Milk Ice Cream with Cherry Sauce and Chocolate. Get a second scoop of Ferraro Rocher Ice Cream. And of course The Montrose Shopping Park is the place to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the big day. All of our restaurants are waiting just for you. What could be better than having a wonderful meal and strolling our streets afterward.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you! For more Valentine fun join us on Facebook and see for yourself some of the things I have described here by becoming a fan of the Montrose Shopping Park.
