Welcome, New Members!

Businesses continue to join the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce. Two new members joined in January. Allow us to introduce 2 See Optometry and H&R Block.

At 2 See Optometry, Dr. Catherine Han is dedicated to providing quality eye care to you and your family. They offer eye screenings and services at affordable pricing. Their services include eye exams, contact lens exams and fittings, macular degeneration screening, orthokeratology and glaucoma screenings. They have an in-house optical department so you can obtain your prescriptions right away. They are conveniently located at 3115 Foothill Blvd., Ste. D in La Crescenta.

Meet new member, Kacie Cervantez, manager of H&R Block, La Crescenta. Kacie, a local resident, has been with H&R Block for seven years. Kacie said, “I love helping people, whether it’s preparing taxes or volunteering at my kids’ school.” The office, which is open from January through April, sees about 560 clients during the tax season.

Kacie went on to explain that H&R Block likes to give back to nonprofits. When nonprofits sign-up, they receive a referral code. When a client comes in with that code, the nonprofit will receive $20. At the end of the tax season, if the nonprofit referred 20 new clients, they would receive a check for $400. Ask about their drop-off service, free early W-2 access, free financial planning and free ITIN service. They do have a promotion going on right now. The 1040 EZ is free until Feb. 28. The office is located at 3061 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta.

Smart-A-Thon will be held at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital on Wednesday, March 7. For those of you who love bingo, BINGO night is scheduled for Saturday, March 24, also being held at USC-VHH. Hope to see you there!
