This is a happy store with carousels and crystal, pink, white, and green, splashed with sunshine. It looks so cute when you drive by and makes you feel good stepping in. This is very important if you are a new mom walking in the door with lots of questions. Bellies, Babies, & Bosoms has been “Nursing the Real Needs of Motherhood since 2003” and is the passion of owner Laura Agakanian. As I look around this store I see good taste and professionalism, from the creative décor and the staff to the state-of-the-art brochures and website describing what they offer. Simply put, BB&B is a one-stop shopping “experience” for all of your motherhood needs. Their specialty is teaching new moms how to breastfeed their babies. The word “experience” is key here as they go to great lengths to hire certified lactation educators like Tracie Kalaba who also runs The Breastfeeding Support Group at Verdugo Hills Hospital. If you are pregnant, BB&B prides itself in offering you a free prenatal breastfeeding support session. They rent and sell hospital grade breast pumps from Medela and Ameda and offer free instruction with a pump purchase. They are also nursing bra specialists and are happy to help fit you.
If that’s not enough, they carry everything from maternity clothes to baby and toddler wear. Right now they are having a big sale on designer diaper bags and baby and toddler clothing. There is also a nice selection of hard to find “preemie” layette. Inside the store are two cozy and private nursing rooms where you can nurse your baby while you shop. Laura has thought of everything to help all of our moms out there.
Bellies, Babies, & Bosoms is truly a Montrose treasure and we are proud to have a store of this caliber in the Montrose Shopping Park. Please visit them at 2430 Honolulu Ave. and check out their website at www.bellies.biz.
