Are You Going to the Polls on April 5? Be Informed Before You Vote!

Tuesday, April 5 is the Glendale Municipal Election. Any time you cast your vote, you need to find out as much information as you can about what and whom you are voting for. There are two seats open on the Glendale City Council and you will be voting to fill them. There are six people running.

The Glendale City Council generally functions as a congressional style legislative body, proposing bills, holding votes, and passing laws to help govern the city. There are five  seats total on our City Council. With six people running and only two seats available, you need to find out about each candidate so you can make an informed decision.

That is why the Montrose Verdugo-City Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Glendale City Council Candidates forum on March 21 at 7 p.m. at Sparr Heights Community Center.  We are will have all six city council candidates up here right in our own backyard to ask them the questions we need the answers to. Do you have a question for the Glendale City Council Candidates? Please email mvcc@montrosechamber.org  or call (818) 249-7171. You will also be able to submit written questions at the event. We would love to see all of you there.

Voters will have the opportunity to cast votes for two seats of each these governing bodies as well: The Glendale Unified School District and the Glendale Community College Board of Trustees. There will also be a school bond measure (Measure S) on the ballot for your consideration.

Do you need more information on whom and what you will be voting for? Log onto Glendalevotes.org. Created by the City of Glendale, this website will give you all the information you need. You can find voting locations, meet all the candidates and learn about the special ballot measure.
