Thank You, Jackie Bartlow!
For as long as I can remember, Jackie Bartlow has been a faithful attendee of our Montrose Shopping Park board meetings. As our liaison with the City of Glendale, she works diligently on our behalf to keep communication open and get things done. Simply put, Jackie, with her pleasant and efficient manner, does a great job. At this month’s meeting we talked trash and flowers. Walk-thrus and meetings have been arranged to improve our plantings and to do a better job of keeping trash at bay. We want to convey our sincere thanks to Jackie and the City of Glendale for helping us keep Montrose the charming, pretty, Mayberry-like town that we all love.
You never know who you might run into at our board meetings. This month Dee Ovenden, (right), who has organized our annual arts & crafts festival for many years, shared progress on this year’s event. Paula Devine, (left), who is running for Glendale City Council, introduced herself and expressed her support of Montrose. It’s always a pleasure to see Kim Mekelburg, (center), of the CV Weekly. Everyone has a part to play and a gift to share.
Spring weather is here and you know what that means: patio dining at Montrose Wine & Kabob (3600 Ocean View). Enjoy a Cornish hen kabob with basmati rice, grilled tomato and onion with a view of the mountains. Let’s not forget the wine part of the equation. There’s a unique selection of reds, whites, pinks and sparkling wines to enjoy as you dip that warm pita bread into fresh hummus. Thanks for reading and for shopping the one-of-a-kind shops, salons, amd cafes of Montrose.
