It’s Almost Hometown Country Fair Time
It’s that time of year again, folks! The Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is holding its 13th Annual Hometown Country Fair on Saturday, April 21! The fair features a car show, live entertainment, dog parade, pie-eating contest, petting zoo, traditional and ethnic food, karaoke contest, lots of inflatables and a wide variety of vendor booths providing fun for people of all ages!
The Chamber hosts the fair each year to foster cohesiveness in the community, to allow various groups in the community to exhibit, and to raise funds for the Chamber’s many projects throughout the year. Nonprofit organizations may have a booth at no charge. Best of all, admission is free.
Vendor booths are still available on a first come, first served basis. Get in on the action while there is still time! This event attracts thousands of people and is a great way to sell your wares! Vendor booths are available for just $75 or $95 for a fully set-up booth. Call the Chamber office for more details at (818) 248-4957.
We also have sponsorship opportunities available. There are six levels of sponsorship that will promote your business and show your support to our community. Again, this event draws thousands of people and is a great way to advertise your business. Business and community support is essential to its success.
We offer packages ranging from $3,500 (Title Sponsor) to $125 (Banner Sponsor). For more information, please see our website at www.CrescentaValleyChamber.org/fair/.
For those of you who consider yourself a car enthusiast, or just love to see all those vintage vehicles, we have a classic hot rod car show! The parade of cars starts at 11 a.m. and all car participants will be introduced as they enter the fairgrounds and then will be guided to their parking space where they will remain until 4 p.m. Wow! How awesome is this? I don’t know about you, but who doesn’t love to see classic cars? They just don’t make ’em like they used to.
So, if you want to show off your hot rod and/or classic car, and enjoy a beautiful day at the fair and a barbecue meal (for car show participants and guests only), there is still time. Call Dwight Sityar at (818) 395-4312 or email him at DSityar13@yahoo.com for more details.
We also have a special “Thank You” planned for all our first responders. This begins at 10:15 a.m. I’m sure you won’t want to miss this opportunity to thank the brave men and women who protect and serve our community. This includes personnel from the police, EMS, sheriff and fire departments. So come out and show your support for these heroes. You’ll get goosebumps when we honor them!
The Hometown Country Fair will be on Saturday, April 21 at Crescenta Valley Park, 3901 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta. The fair is from 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. Hope to see y’all there!
