Come To The Fair!

It’s here! It’s finally here! The 9th Annual Hometown Country Fair is this Saturday! All those errands, home improvement projects and honey “to-do lists” can wait another week. The weather is going to be perfect, so don’t spend it indoors! Make some memories with us and be a part of this talk-of-the-town tradition. Grab your loved ones, friends and neighbors, and spend the day with us! Psst…it’s free to attend!

Wondering what we have planned?  Well, we’ve covered everything, and have something for everyone! You can literally roll out of bed, head over to CV Park and start your day with a 5K run! You can meander through and “ooh” and “ahh” at some of the coolest hot rods at the car show. If you have a dog that loves the limelight, we’ve got a dog parade! If you prefer animals not so domesticated, you will love all the treasured species brought by the Wildlife Waystation. There is something for arts and crafts lovers and thrill seeking amusement park riders, and if you are competitive and love pie … well, you guessed it: There is a pie-eating contest!

But really, let’s get down to the food. Gelsinger’s Meats has provided some amazing burgers and hot dogs for the barbecue, and there will be pizza, tasty selections from the Fry Girl food truck, and lots and lots of sweets to satisfy any and all sugar cravings! Students can even make money for their school by bringing in the coupon that was in Thursday folders or sent via their school’s e-blast.

If you need a breather from all of this excitement or just prefer to people watch, we have an itinerary of fabulous entertainment planned: live music, local dance studio, tae kwon do, and YMCA performances, and our local Spartan cheerleaders and band members from Rosemont Middle School will take the stage!

There will be a silent auction booth with some great finds and gift baskets to bid on. We’ve got free web hosting for life by Caspian Services, a Merle Norman Cosmetics beauty basket, and donations from Spa Pura, Boulevard 34, Fringe Hair Studio and so much more!

If you’ve been dreaming of owning an iPad mini and want a shot at winning one, we are having a raffle at the fair and tickets are a very low $5 each.

So, just do it. Join us and your fellow foothill friends at our Hometown Country Fair at Crescenta Valley Park (3901 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta) this Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and psst … it’s free to attend!
On Wednesday, April 9, join us for a delightful evening under our glorious Crescenta Valley sky in the beautifully remodeled courtyard of the First Baptist Church at La Crescenta. Pastor Bill Flanders and his fabulous organized staff have a wonderful evening planned for this month’s business mixer. We have been blessed to have FBCLC in our community for over 65 years and we are delighted that they will be opening their home to us. Join us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for live music, great food and refreshments and a special business card drawing and raffle that you will not want to miss!
