Montrose Food & Brewfest This Sunday
Our 3rd Annual Montrose Food and Brewfest is this Sunday, April 9 from noon to 4 p.m. We are excited that we have over 25 participating breweries along with a local wine booth, The Soda Sommelier and nine local Montrose restaurants that will be handing out samples of their delicious products. We also have three fantastic music groups for you to enjoy. La River Bend is returning from last year along with Bones Muhroni, both folk, rock and soul music stylings, and Alfa who has a Filipino folk hymn, classical style that is a refreshing brand of pop music woven with catchy tales. It is going to be a great day!
This event is not only an opportunity for people to come and discover Montrose and sample some of the great restaurants we have in town, it is also a fundraiser. The Chamber will be donating the proceeds of the event to the Glendale Police Foundation and the Glendale Fire Foundation to help support underfunded programs in their departments. We want to encourage you to plan to stay for dinner or appetizers in Montrose. Providing food samples will be Town Kitchen and Grill, Basin 141, Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant, Thee Elbow Room, Giuseppe’s Pizzeria, New Moon, Frank’s Famous Kitchen and Catering, Trader Joe’s and Mountview. Many of the restaurants are located are just outside the beer garden and this is a great opportunity for you to visit their establishments and see what they are all about. You will have in-and-out privileges for this event so you will be able to go out and return to the event. This event is on the 2200 block of Honolulu Avenue between Market Street and Ocean View Boulevard. The Montrose Harvest Market and Marketplace will be open as well if you want to go and check out what they have to offer. The Montrose Harvest Market is a traditional farmers’ market, offering the best produce and flowers from certified Southern California growers and a variety of prepared foods.
