Mixing it Up at Our Mixers

Have you ever been to Dream Dinners? Perhaps you’ve been curious about the make-it-yourself frozen meal enterprise but have never gone there. Such was the case for some of the 50 or so attendees at the Chamber’s most recent mixer. They learned about the convenience and tastiness of the Dream Dinners experience. New owner Stephanie Carnes hosted the event and what a success it was!

Mixer attendees were treated to hot food samples and two demonstrations on how to prepare meals. Those meals were then raffled off to enthusiastic ticket holders. Prizes were donated by a number of other businesses as well, many of which were in attendance that night. Those businesses include Electronics Beyond, Sport Clips, Harvest Juice Co., House & Pet Sitting For You, Healthy Bods by Jo, Dilbeck realtor Sharon Hales, Anthony Chiropractic, New York Life agent Stepan Keshishian, Back Office People, Better Travelling, Community Center of La Canada Flintridge, Podley realtor Regina Davanzo, Crescenta-Canada Ceramic Tile, Craig’s Electric, Early Rodders Club, State Farm agent Chris Aristo, Riley & Associates, Montrose Shopping Park Association, JR Hardware and Arent Fox, Attorneys at Law.

The Chamber’s next mixer will be held Wednesday, May 13 from 6-8 p.m. at JR Hardware, Sash & Door at 2916 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta. Owner Kaipo Chock’s shop specializing in doors, windows, skylights and more will be open for refreshments, networking and prizes.

Speaking of prizes, the monthly member drawing amount increases to a whopping $250 in May! At the Dream Dinners’ mixer, Chamber member Crescenta Valley Mini Storage was pulled from the bin but unfortunately they were not present to collect. Could your business use $250? Come to the next mixer and see if you win!

The Crescenta Valley Weekly generously donates a free ad to one lucky winner at each mixer as well. Last month, Electronics Beyond scored this valuable prize.  Again, you’ve got to be present to win!

If your business is interested in hosting a networking mixer, it’s simple. All you need to do is open your business to the community on a specified evening and provide simple (or lavish) refreshments. We do the rest. Call the office for details.

Finally, come to the Hometown Country Fair! It’s free entertainment in your own backyard! It happens this Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Crescenta Valley Park, 3901 Dunsmore Ave. in La Crescenta. There’s so much to look at, to listen to, and to do. It’s great for adults, kids, teens, pets, car enthusiasts, shoppers, animal lovers, foodies, pie eaters, music lovers and anyone who likes to be outside under stately oaks. It’s all made possible by the generosity of local businesses and organizations.

The weather report says sun on Saturday, so come on down!
