Zeke’s Smokehouse is Doing Breakfast Right!
No, that’s not Russell Crowe, but you won’t be the first person who does a double take. Meet Joe Meinhart, general manager of Montrose’s favorite barbecue hangout, Zeke’s Smokehouse. I ran into him recently as I went to pick up an order of apple cider cinnamon donuts to go. One of Montrose’s best kept secrets, they are only available on weekends. Made fresh to order, you’ll get six warm, delicious donuts for $2.95, perfect to split with a friend. Zeke’s has a phenomenal breakfast menu as well. Think Chicken & Waffles, and country specials like griddled grit cakes, and bowls of tater tots topped with their famous chili & eggs. Breakfast is served Saturday & Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 am. This Saturday why not have breakfast at Zeke’s, say hi to Russell, I mean Joe, and then shop your favorite Montrose boutiques for Mother’s Day!
Is Montrose Going to the Dogs?
The answer is yes! At least on Sunday, May 3. This is one day you don’t want to miss. The Montrose Shopping Park will be hosting the annual Wags-N-Whiskers event benefitting the Glendale Humane Society. If you are a dog lover you will be over the moon when you see well behaved doggies of all breeds and colors parading on Honolulu. Registry for the dogs starts at 9 a.m. at Andersen’s Pets and the walk begins at 10 a.m. There will also be a primo selection of doggie vendors handing out samples of the best dog foods on the market as well as good advice. Enjoy our Sunday Harvest Market, Kids-N-Kritters event, and the Prom Plus Taste of Montrose. Doggone it! Sounds like too much fun for one day! Where else but the family-friendly Montrose Shopping Park! Thanks for reading and thanks for shopping local! See you around town!
