»Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce “Our Business is Your Business”

Sponsors are such an important part of the Chamber’s activities. For instance, we couldn’t put on the Hometown Country Fair this Saturday at CV Park if it weren’t for sponsors. They make it possible for us to offer this event to local families for free.  Here’s a little background on some of the businesses and people making the Fair possible.

This is the third year the Valley Automotive Group will be our major sponsor.  The brainchild of Bruce Bartels of Bruce’s Automotive, the V.A.G. is a consortium of local independent auto repair specialists. Bartels’ goal was to let local people know they are a viable car repair industry.

“We know each other and like each other,” said Bartels. “We’re all family businesses and we offer car owners a great option when looking for personalized service. We’re part of the community so we take it personally. Plus we all share the same goals of ethical and honest service.”

The Valley Automotive Group is made up of 1 Stop Auto (3333 N. Verdugo), Allstate Auto Repair (3424 Foothill), Bruce’s Automotive (2865 Foothill), Campbell’s Auto Service (2735 Honolulu), Community Smog Center (3744 N. Verdugo), Corey’s Mercedes/BMW (4455 Ocean View), Jason’s Automotive Specialty (7517 Foothill), Ken Daniels Automotive (3507 Ocean View), Serge’s Automotive Repair (2410 Foothill) and Smith Bros. Complete Auto (7538 Foothill). Look for the Hometown Country Fair banner outside their shops!

This is the second year the CV Korean-American Business Group is a major sponsor. Not every one of the 13 Korean-American owned businesses in the group has its offices in the Crescenta Valley but every owner lives here. They came together to find ways to support the community they love.

“The Hometown Country Fair is something everyone can come to and enjoy with their families,” said James Pak, CV Chamber director and owner of Blue Air Refrigeration. “The local Korean-American Federation very much believes in this event. We’re especially interested in supporting events that bring together people of different cultures and backgrounds. Our businesses want to get their name out to all types of people.”

The same may be said about our third major sponsor, Glendale Hyundai.  Owner Jae Park wants to reach out to the Crescenta Valley community and let them know Glendale Hyundai offers premium service and excellent pricing. Mr. Park is looking into opening more dealerships in the area to meet the growing demand for Hyundais. The Chamber graciously thanks Glendale Hyundai and all the major sponsors from our Korean community including Ko-Am Construction, Young Scholar Institute, Blue Air Commercial Refrigeration, RP&I Management Corp., CHL Trading, Charlie Suh Realty, Society Realty, United Escrow, Dr. Young Seok Suh, Jun Chang CPA, Eben Ezer, iKONIK Apparel & Graphics Studio and Zen Sushi.

Thanks also to our other sponsors including Bob Smith Toyota, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, Descanso Garden Spa, Supervisor Kathryn Barger, YMCA of the Foothills, Gelsingers Amber Road, CV Weekly, Dream Dinners La Crescenta, Bonners Party Rentals, Wells Fargo Bank, Orchard Supply Hardware, Burrtec Waste Services, CV Water District, Crescenta Canada Pet Hospital, Albertsons, Andersen’s Pet Shop, American Legion/VFW, Caspian Services, Riley & Assoc., JR Hardware,  Js Maids, Craig’s Electric, Albertsons and others.
