Welcoming Our New Businesses

As our business community continues to grow, the Montrose~Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome our newest business members:

CWM came to the MVCC via Patrick Egan who joined MVCC as a member at large this year. In his role as a member at large, he meets with the board of directors quarterly to participate in the function and operation of the chamber. We are pleased to not only gain a new business member but a valued member of the board of directors. This dual duty exemplifies the care and commitment to community many of our members possess.

As part of the MVCC 2019 goals to reach out and be in support of the Sparr Heights Business District, two new businesses joined the membership:           

Oasis Family Medicine. Together Dr. Yoshi Rahm and Dr. Anne Kuo are double board certified in family medicine as well as integrative and holistic medicine.

They are located at 3541 Ocean View Blvd. From the lovely and serene setting of the office space to the welcoming ambiance, OFM is a place where the team offers to “create optimal health together.” On April 12, we held a ribbon cutting event attended by area field reps from the legislative offices, the City of Glendale Economic Development coordinator, members of the MVCC board of directors and several of the area’s businesses owners. Sparr Heights Smiles. Voted San Gabriel Valley’s Best in 2018 with one location in San Marino and a second location here in our Sparr Heights area at 3424 N. Verdugo Road. Roger W. Another 2019 goal for MVCC was to connect and represent home-based and online service businesses – a group of local businesses that gets lost in the mix without a brick and mortar store. We now welcome two such businesses:

Tipico Tico is family-operated with a core foundation to shop locally and ethically. “By shopping locally [in the near towns of Guatemala], we are able to hand-select every item and talk to the artisan behind each piece. By shopping ethically, we know that we aren’t supporting the large corporations. Our proceeds go toward helping rural communities in Guatemala [and Mexico].”
