Mark Your Calendars!
News Flash! Our Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce has several community activities scheduled for the remainder of 2021 that you won’t want to miss. Go to our Chamber website, www.crescentavalleychamber.org, to check the event dates and mark your calendars.
Our annual student scholarship program for eligible high school seniors and the April 8 scholarship fundraising event at Alissa’s Ocean View Bar & Grill enabled our Chamber to award 11 student scholarships to a very deserving group of high school seniors. We are sincerely grateful for the generous support we received from Alissa and Eric Hwang and the numerous community members who funded this year’s scholarship program. Congratulations to our 11 student recipients!
The Chamber has slightly modified our “Save the Date” events scheduled for the remainder of the year. Our Vendor Silent Auction, originally scheduled for May 6, has been re-scheduled to Thursday, June 10. This professionally-run format will include member donors from 6-7 p.m. introducing themselves and their businesses followed by online bidding that will continue over several days on valuable items. Items will be announced and displayed on our Chamber website as we approach the auction date.
Next, an evening of bingo returns to the Crescenta Valley on Saturday, July 10 at the La Crescenta VFW/American Legion Hall. Always fun and exciting with $$$ to win!
On Friday, Aug. 20 our Chamber tees off its annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at Scholl Canyon Golf Course. Don’t play golf well? It doesn’t matter. Join us for golf with friends, food, drinks, prizes and a day of fun.
Our year’s biggest event, the Hometown Country Fair, complete with vendors, live music, food, games, activities for the kids and a classic car show, returns on Saturday, Sept. 18. We are back with more excitement and fun for the entire family.
And there’s more … on Saturday, Oct. 30 is our Chamber’s 5K Pumpkin Fun Run with a chance to compete for year-long community bragging rights in all age categories.
Finally, a fun evening of poker is being arranged with details to be announced soon.
While Chamber event dates are tentative due to current Los Angeles County Health Dept. restrictions, we will notify the community through our website (www.crescentavalleychamber.org), our Chamber office email or telephone (info@crescentavalleychamber.org or [818] 248-4957), Facebook page, or upcoming Chamber articles in the CV Weekly newspaper as we finalize details for each event.

Leave immediately if asked to evacuate by authorities.
