Learning How to Sell Your Company
“Learning is either a continuing thing or it is nothing.” Frank Tyger
How is your business these days? Could you use more business? How much time do you spend on marketing? I know a few business owners that need more business; however, they do not even know where to start when it comes to marketing.
The experts I have researched say there are five important steps in starting any marketing campaign: 1) Describe your company’s unique selling proposition. Your unique selling proposition should be the reason you are in business. It is what sets you apart from the rest. It is why you are better than the competition and why the customer should buy your product or use your service. 2) Define your target market. Before you spend time or money on any marketing, you need to figure out your target market first. Your marketing will not be successful if you do not have a clearly defined audience. 3) Write down the benefits of your products or services. Figure out and write down the exact reasons your customers will be happy once they use your service or buy your product. 4) Define your brand. Many others are trying to sell your product or service. What is your branding going to look like? How you want your customers to see your brand is up to you; however, once you figure it out, you should be consistent and carry it through all your marketing methods. 5) Define your marketing methods. You need to decide where to advertise and if you are going to use Internet marketing, direct marketing or public relations. Inc. Magazine says, “Fifty percent of consumers use a combination of search and social media to make purchase decisions.” So using the Internet is a big place to make your brand known. Having a professional website and a strong social media presence is important.
One company that can help you with all your Internet marketing is Caspian Services, Inc. They have over 10 years of experience and have over 300 projects completed. They use U.S. based designers, programmers and marketers. They are reliable and cost effective. Caspian can be your one stop shop for all your web and print marketing needs.
