Celebrate National Chocolate Ice Cream Day at Paradis

As if we needed an excuse, National Chocolate Ice Cream Day is this Saturday. Once you’re done reading, this you’ll be rushing to the Montrose Shopping Park to have some. According to Paradis owner Mark Pedersen, the best organic, dark chocolate in the world comes from West Africa. Paradis (2323 Honolulu Ave.) imports it along with chocolate sprinkles from Belgium to produce their decadent No. 1 top seller. Have it in a cup, have it in a cone, or try it in their new frappe made with chocolate ice cream, freshly brewed espresso and topped with whipped cream and Belgian chocolate sprinkles! We are so glad Paradis came to town … aren’t you?

Beer has hit the big time on the restaurant scene and Basin 141 is riding the crest of the wave! There are always fresh brews by the bottle and on tap. New ones to try include Monks Café – Flemish Sour Ale, Great Divide Brewing Co. “Yeti”- Imperial Stout, and epic Brewing Co. Hopulent IPA, a big beer with excessive hops.
