Show Your Support for New Local Businesses
There has been a lot of tough news lately when it comes to local jobs and the economy. But in spite of it all, there are some bright spots. New businesses are opening in Montrose and their grand openings and ribbons cuttings are bringing new life to the area. Although Montrose has seen a lot of change in the last few months with businesses closing or moving out of the area, seeing new businesses open is a positive sign.
On Friday, June 8 at noon we will be hosting a ribbon cutting at Nature’s Treasures in Glendale. Raya Shanazarian, AADP, CNHP, ANMCB is a traditional naturopath and owner of Nature’s Treasures Health and Wellness Center. She has been in business for about eight years and is newly located at 3600 N. Verdugo Road, Suite #207, near the Montrose shopping area. Raya focuses her practice on traditional naturopathy, homeopathy, exercise and lifestyle counseling, whole foods nutrition, traditional herbal medicine, and in treating the whole mind, body and spirit. Though Nature’s Treasures offers a large number of treatment and preventative services, the most popular ones include blood, urine, hair and hormone testing and analysis, and natural and effective weight loss program. Stop by our ribbon cutting tomorrow at noon and meet Raya and learn about this wonderful business.
Join Yoga Rock for its grand opening celebration at 3600 Ocean View Blvd., Suite 11 in Montrose over the weekend of June 15-17. At Yoga Rock Studios, you’ll feel supported to stretch into the awareness of your body without judgment while you ease into the perfect physical regime that suits your life. Their mission is to provide a safe and friendly place for people to come as they are and transform their bodies while expanding their heart. Healthy bodies and happy hearts lead radiant and abundant lives. Let Yoga Rock your body … mind … spirit during the grand opening celebration! The ribbon cutting, hosted by the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce, will be at noon. Snacks will be provided.
The much anticipated cupcake store Polkatots just opened in Montrose and is getting rave reviews. They specialize in making cupcake cakes and creating various kinds of new cupcake flavors. Owner Melany has already found success with the original Polkatots store in Pasadena and thought Montrose would be the perfect place to open their second location.
Melany has a different concept than her competition, focusing on busy moms.
“Wouldn’t moms want to enjoy their child’s birthday party with their guests rather than listening to children squabble over who got which piece of cake?” Melany thought. Her business plan was to cheer people up at difficult times with something fun and happy incorporating a good sense of humor. Thanks for coming to Montrose, Melany! Stop by and try Polkatots at the corner of Verdugo and Honolulu Avenue.
