Three Good Reasons to Renew Your Membership
If you’ve been mulling over whether or not to renew your CV Chamber membership, or whether to join in the first place, now is the perfect time to do it. Why? Here are three good reasons:
The new Best Business Directory is coming out soon! This glossy, comprehensive and well-used resource goes to every address in the 91214 zip code, nearly 10,000 households. Publication deadline is June 19. All members in good standing will be listed in the Member Directory both alphabetically and by type of business. Residents tend to trust Chamber of Commerce members, so this a great way to attract new customers.
Secondly, Chamber members have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Business Expo on Wednesday, Sept. 9. This annual event is brought to you by three chambers of commerce: Crescenta Valley, La Cañada Flintridge and Montrose-Verdugo City. The well-attended event held at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital is another great way to increase exposure of your business or organization to the entire tri-city area. We are currently offering sponsorship opportunities (members will receive an informational letter in the mail). Applications to host a booth will be offered to members next month. Once again, your membership must be in good standing.
Finally, renewing your membership with the Chamber of Commerce ensures the Chamber’s success and vitality. Even though we thrive on volunteer support and have a modest staff, renewals are vital to our success. Through your support, we can continue to help make the Crescenta Valley a better place in which to live and make a living.
Member Spotlight
Each month we highlight a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Here are a few things you may not have known about Chamber member Tire 4 Less. This month, Tire 4 Less is celebrating its two-year anniversary at its current location, 3539 Foothill Blvd. But owner Raffi Andonian’s experience goes back much further than that. He’s been in the tire and car repair business for 35 years. His family has been in it for 50 years! Raffi attended local schools including Rosemont and CV High, as do his children. He is very much a part of the La Crescenta community.
Tire 4 Less is an offshoot of Discount Tire Centers, a company with over 200 outlets. That kind of clout gives Tire 4 Less strong buying power. They can cut out the middle man and buy all brands of tires direct from the vendor, passing along big savings to their customers. Andonian is the sole owner and operator of Tire 4 Less and deals directly with the public. So customers get “big box store” prices with boutique service.
More than just a tire store, Tire 4 Less is a one-stop complete auto shop. Open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., local boy Raffi Andonian is there when you or your car need him.
Coming Up: The CV Chamber Scholarship Golf Tournament on June 26 at Scholl Canyon Golf Course.
