»Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce “Our Business is Your Business”

Two new members joined the CV Chamber in May. Allow us to introduce Twelve Oaks Senior Living and Car City.

We are happy to welcome Twelve Oaks Senior Living back to La Crescenta.  You may remember Twelve Oaks closed its doors three years ago in the wake of alleged improprieties by prior owner, be.group. New owner Northstar Senior Living is thrilled to re-open Twelve Oaks with renovated facilities that still maintain the historic charm.

Community Relations Director Dee Robertson said, “There’s such a need for this type of care in the community. The other facilities are filled up.”

Though it doesn’t officially open until August or September, deposits are already being accepted from potential residents. Twelve Oaks is still in the process of refreshing the main pavilion where dining and other activities take place and will have approximately 35 studio apartments specializing in assisted living and memory care ready this fall. The surrounding bungalows, which will house independent living seniors, will be ready in a year or so.

“We’re so excited to spread the good word about Twelve Oaks’ reopening,” said Robertson. “We believe joining the Chamber is a great way to reconnect with the CV community.” You can reach Dee Robertson or Executive Director Sandy Solis at (818) 862-8010. Twelve Oaks Senior Living is located at 2820 Sycamore Ave. in La Crescenta.

The Chamber is also delighted to add Car City to its membership. Marcia McCullley and Nick Ghazarian (who also happen to be husband and wife) opened the La Crescenta outpost of Car City in 2015, six years after opening Glendale Car City on the Brand Boulevard of Cars and 18 years after their third dealership, Hi Star Auto Sales (also in La Crescenta), opened its doors.

La Crescenta Car City, at the corner of New York and Foothill, differs from its neighbor Hi Star Auto Sales by carrying more high-end luxury vehicles such as Mercedes and BMW. Hi Star will have your more economical cars, such as SUVs, vans and sedans for college students. At both facilities, they will help buyers with financing, even those with little or no credit. They have new inventory coming in weekly and have access to inventory beyond what you’ll see on the lot. Looking for a 2007 red Corvette? They’ll help you find it!

“I joined the Chamber,” said McCulley, “because I wanted to meet up with other businesses, form collaborative relationships and have a wider network of socializing.”

The Chamber board and many of its members met Marcia, her husband and their adorable daughter at last month’s mixer at Crescenta-Cañada Pet Hospital so the collaborative relationships have already begun. If you’re in the market for a pre-owned car, pop in to Car City and tell them the Chamber sent you!  They’re at 3352 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta, (818) 433-8690.
