The Best Car Show Yet! This Sunday!

Car show organizer Dave Maher (right) and MSP Event Coordinator Dale Dawson have been planning this event for months. It’s going to be a car show to remember! A gift from the merchants of the Montrose Shopping Park to you, this free family-style event will be loading up the Montrose Shopping Park with classic and vintage cars, and hot rods! New this year near Montrose Travel is vintage motorcycles! You’ll find the Montrose Hot Rod King Don Tubbs at the corner of Honolulu and Ocean View where you’ll hear the cackle cars (vintage hot rods) fire up their engines at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. It’s L-O-U-D and one of the main attractions of the show. There will be special amplified music to get you in the holiday, car fantasy world. Our vibrant summer Harvest Market will be going full swing in the 2200 block in front of Once Upon A Time through Market Street. All in all a patriotic Montrose fun day of shopping, dining, music and cars, cars, and more cars! Happy 4th of July from the merchants to you! We’re looking forward to a fun “Mayberry” weekend!

“Come for the shopping and stay for the dining” is our summer Friday night mantra. This holiday weekend we have a special treat planned for you. Our favorite banjo players, the Do Rag Ragtime Strollers, will be strolling Honolulu Avenue from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Joining them, by Andersen’s Pets, are Fulkerson & Clarke, a folk, jazz, soul, Americana duo you won’t want to miss. It’s like having a free outdoor concert while you check out our one-of-a-kind boutiques and cafés.
