Anniversary Mixer at ANGC – a Huge Success
Last night we held our annual “anniversary” business mixer at the Angeles National Golf Club in Sunland. It is a beautiful location that offers golfers and guests diverse and delicious dining experiences as well as spectacular views of the golf course and surrounding San Gabriel Mountains. We sampled many of the delicious menu items, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and mingled with many business owners that we hadn’t seen in a long time. This mixer is a special one to us. Once a year we take time to celebrate and recognize the local businesses in the area that support the chamber and our efforts to promote business in Montrose. We know that membership is the lifeline of the chamber of commerce and we want to take every opportunity to recognize and appreciate our members.
Last night we recognized businesses that have been with the chamber from five years to 40 years. That is amazing! This chamber exists to make our community a better place to work, live and play. Businesses become members because they are proud of being part of an organization that plays a key role in the community. Our chamber is an organization managed by a volunteer board of directors, established to promote civic, commercial and industrial progress within this community and to work diligently with community partners to be a liaison between the community and the city. We could not do all of this without the loyal support of our members.
Here is a complete list of the members honored: Celebrating five years of chamber membership were Billy’s Board Shop, Days of the Verdugo Heritage Association, Event Power Associates, N Style Entertainment, Jackie’s Hair A Go-Go, Scholl Canyon Estates, Steve Pierce and Verdugo Pet Cabin. Celebrating 10 years was CV Water District, Fat Cat DJ, Leo’s All Star Sports Bar and Grill, Ocean View Contemporary Bistro, Ocean View Investments Group, Sir Michael’s Party Rentals and The UPS Store 2686. Celebrating 15 years was City Hall Coffee Shop, Lutheran Church in the Foothills and Sierra Signs. Celebrating 20 years was La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, Professional Development Center, Black Cow Cafe and Quilt’n Things. Celebrating 25 years was Bronson’s Photography. Celebrating 30 years was J’s Maintenance. Celebrating 35 years was Schreiner’s Fine Sausages. And celebrating 40 years was Montrose Travel. Thank you!
