“Finally! A women’s boutique in La Crescenta. I don’t have to go to the crowded mall anymore!” This is what clients say when they walk into Mademoiselle Womens’ Fashion & Accessories, a European style boutique that recently opened in La Crescenta.

Mademoiselle was owner Rima Bedevian’s childhood dream of one day owning a boutique – a dream that recently became a reality. With its European décor and unique apparel, Mademoiselle carries clothing, accessories, fashion and custom jewelry, and gifts with discounted prices.

“I carry fashions that are not seen at the malls today,” said Bedevian. “My clients are so delighted by my unique merchandise. They are also happy that a women’s boutique has finally opened in their neighborhood and they can avoid going to the crowded malls to shop or to buy a last minute gift!”

What makes her merchandise unique, added Bedevian, are the embellishments that are sewn onto the garments. From sequins to embroidered detailing, the apparel at Mademoiselle has the European look without the European prices (look for coupon in this week’s newspaper).

Bedevian said that one of her hobbies is to plan events, which she incorporates into her business. Mademoiselle celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in May. On July 10, Mademoiselle is hosting a summer boutique event.

“There will be discounted shopping, refreshments and complimentary chair massages,” said Bedevian. “This is a public event and everyone is invited!”

Bedevian is a member of the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and a supporter of the Relay for Life, Crescenta Valley High School’s Prom Plus, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Mission, and she spearheads toy drives and food drives for the underprivileged.

Mademoiselle is located at 3442 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta and is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (818) 249-9308.
