Is your favorite store or business on the list? Tell them thanks for supporting the Chamber and activities like the Hometown Country Fair, the Smart-a-Thon, the Foothills Community Expo, the Crescenta Valley Fireworks Show and Taste of the Foothills.
Speaking of the fireworks show – wow, what an event! Hundreds, perhaps thousands of people, filled the La Crescenta Elementary School playground and surrounding streets for a fireworks extravaganza choreographed to music. Food trucks, carnival rides and music by Eagles tribute band Boys of Summer made this festival the place to be on July 4th. Thanks go out to the CV Fireworks Association that organized the program with a little help from their friends at the Chamber.
Coming up
Chamber business members, please keep an eye out for your application to be an exhibitor at the annual Foothills Community Business Expo happening on Sept. 9 at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital. Forms will be in the mail next week.
Tonight you are invited to an open house at the new Farmers Insurance offices of Jennifer Drew and Elizabeth Sockbeson at 2918½ Honolulu Ave., Montrose. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting happening at 7. Jenny and Liz encourage people to bring the family, including pets!
Tomorrow, July 10, we will celebrate two more ribbon cuttings in the morning. At 10:15 a.m. join us at 20/20 Financial Services at 3810 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta. And at 11a.m., we’ll move down the street to welcome Edible Arrangements, 3904 Foothill, to their remodeled space.
As always, contact me with any questions or comments about your CV Chamber of Commerce.
