MVCC June Recap & July Preview: Celebrating Community and Anticipating Exciting Future Events
The Montrose Verdugo Chamber of Commerce has enjoyed a fantastic month, continuing to strengthen our community through recent events and exciting plans for future events. We kicked off the month with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Animus Grappling, a new business that promises to be a cornerstone of our community. The turnout was fantastic and their space is truly beautiful. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and showed their support. The enthusiasm and community spirit at the event was palpable, and we are confident that Animus Grappling will help our community flourish by providing a great place for fitness and camaraderie.
As we move forward, we are eagerly anticipating the Jenkins 40th Caribbean Bash Mixer and Scholarship Awards on July 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jenkins Properties, 2626 Honolulu Ave. This tropical-themed evening promises to be a memorable celebration as we honor the remarkable achievements of Jenkins Properties over the past 40 years and recognize the outstanding MVCC scholarship winners. Guests can look forward to delicious food, refreshing drinks and excellent networking opportunities. The night will culminate with exciting opportunity drawings. Our scholarship grand prize will be awarded to Violet Bandek and our second tier prizes to Alexzander Awni and Kayleen Yang. This event is not just a celebration but also a testament to the ongoing commitment of Jenkins Properties and the MVCC to support and uplift our community.
