Celebrating Business in Montrose

Our August anniversary mixer is coming up on Wednesday, Aug. 2. It will be held at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Montrose starting at 6 p.m. Our business mixers are always a great place to network with other business owners, discover a new business you might not have visited yet, try food from a local restaurant you haven’t had the chance to drop by or enter our opportunity drawings to win one of our fabulous prizes. This mixer is special because we will be recognizing business members that have been with us for five, 15, 20, 25 and more years. As the Chamber, we want to recognize these milestones and celebrate the success of these businesses. Their success is our success. These businesses support us as we support them. The Chamber is a not-for-profit advocate for businesses. It is an organization managed by a volunteer board of directors, established to promote civic, commercial, industrial and agricultural progress within the Montrose community and to work diligently with community partners for the establishment of sound legislation and efficient administration at all levels of government. Currently the Montrose Chamber is working in conjunction with the City of Glendale not only to help streamline the overall permitting process but also to continue to improve the city’s Concierge Small Business Services to ensure that it is a smooth, simple and quick process. We also hold city election forums, engage in community outreach forums with the City and have an aggressive social media campaign to promote the area of Montrose along with its businesses. The Chamber’s benefits include affordable means of advertising and event sponsorships for businesses, business and community representation within Glendale City Hall, event sponsorships at our annual Oktoberfest (the largest event in the City of Glendale and the foothills area) and our Montrose Food and Brewfest, publicized grand openings and ribbon cuttings for new businesses, opportunities to host community mixers, volunteer opportunities for teens and seniors, relevant email updates, knowledge of community resources and business referrals. If you are interested in joining the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce, please call our office. We would love to welcome you to this great network of businesses! (818) 249-7171.
