»Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce Our Business Is Your Business

Much Going on in Town

Our Crescenta Valley is a very active and busy community this time of the year and your Chamber of Commerce is involved in and supporting many of those activities.

First of all we want to remind everyone of the upcoming National Night Out. It is an opportunity for all members of our community to meet and greet our law enforcement personnel, enjoy free hotdogs and chips and tour the CV Sheriff’s Station facility. The date is Aug. 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and includes free balloons for kids, the presence of the Early Rodders car club and a free child identification card. The address is 4554 Briggs Ave. Hope to see everyone there.

Next, the Chamber will be hosting its monthly business mixer at the Center for Spiritual Living in La Crescenta. The mixer is a western themed evening, so bring your best boots and hats and enjoy meeting local business members. Beverages and food will be provided. The date is Thursday, Aug. 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The address is 4845 Dunmore Ave. on the corner of Santa Carlotta Avenue. The members’ only drawing is up to $175 but you must be present to win.

Our good friends at the American Legion are hosting its 8th Annual Bingo Fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 16 beginning at 5 p.m. at Healy Hall, Holy Redeemer Church. Food and check-in is at 5 p.m.; $20 entry fee. Healy Hall is located at 2361 Del Mar Road in Montrose. Proceeds benefit veterans in our community.

The Legion and the VFW will also be honoring one of their own in a celebration of life event for longtime member Roy Allmon, an Air Force veteran, on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Memorial Hall, 4011 La Crescenta Ave.

We also want to welcome our newest Chamber members, Color Street Stylists, Patricia Falbo. She can be reached at (310) 435-5445. And Glendale Council PTA Executive Vice President Neda Farhoumand. You can get in touch with her at 223 N. Jackson St. in Glendale.

On Wednesday, Sept. 11 we will be observing the anniversary of that dreadful day with an honorary motorcade throughout the Crescenta Valley. Featuring our own fire departments, highway patrol and local law enforcement as well as the Early Rodders car club.

Finally, we want to remind local businesses that the 2020 Best Business Directory sales are underway. If you would like to be included in this once-a-year local businesses directory feel free to contact me at (818) 521-6406 or by email at mriley@sprintmail.com and I will be glad to meet with you and provide all the information you require.
