Students at Glendale Community College looking for a quick bite can thank their lucky stars that their options for delicious eats have increased by one. Wrap Express at 1525 N. Verdugo Road, just across from the college, is serving up a delicious blend of Middle Eastern dishes with a bit of European flair.
For Ruben Zograbyan, owner of Wrap Express, opening this restaurant has been the culmination of a dream and a lot of hard work. It was back in 1999 that Ruben traveled from his native Armenia to visit family living in Amsterdam for the coming New Year. It was while working at a Russian restaurant operated by his relatives that Ruben discovered his life’s passion: to prepare and serve great food.
Determined to be a success, Ruben went to school in Switzerland to study hospitality management, eventually earning a master’s. Over the years, Ruben worked his way across all of Europe, touching ground in France, Germany, and Russia, but determined to fulfill his vision in the United States. Finally in 2006, Ruben arrived in America, opening a Brazilian style restaurant in Valencia soon after. But it was only with Wrap Express that his vision for food that is healthy, tasty and affordable finally came to fruition.
Whether in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Wrap Express has got all cravings covered. Luxurious crepes, fluffy waffles, shish kebabs, and shawarma wraps await even the most finicky of growling stomachs.
But tasty food doesn’t come at a hefty price. Wrap Express’ menu is surprisingly affordable, so guests won’t have to worry about an aching wallet after coming in to dine. There are even vegetarian options available.
