7th Annual Film Festival in Montrose
Presenting the 7th Annual Montrose Film Festival, a wonderful family event taking place on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 12-13 from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Free movies “under the stars” are back by popular demand and this time we’ve doubled the size of the party! With two separate showings in both locations, enjoy free movies, free popcorn and live entertainment from local bands kicking off the festivities from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tell your friends and family to come for good old-fashioned fun. Meet your neighbors and smile on your sisters and brothers. Everybody get together to laugh and have yourselves a good time and, remember, the event is free to the public. Best of all, we provide the chairs!
Our first feature location is Andersen’s Pets’ parking lot at 2224 Honolulu Ave. showing “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb” on Friday night starring Ben Stiller, Robin Williams and Owen Wilson, rated PG. The Saturday feature film is “Mrs. Doubtfire” starring Robin Williams and Sally Field, rated PG-13.
Our second theatre event is in the Montrose Travel parking lot at 2353 Honolulu Ave. The featured attractions are “Ratatouille” on Friday – the computer-animated comedy produced by Pixar, rated G – and “Galaxy Quest” on Saturday night – the star-studded science fiction comedy, rated PG.
Join us Sundays, rain or shine, for the Montrose Harvest Market, your weekly neighborhood reunion! Start thinking about back-to-school and healthy choices for our kids’ lunches. And what’s better than organic pluots (plum/apricot combination), summer ripe figs, or a fresh salad mix from our newest vendor Shepherd Farms? While you’re visiting our Market consider fresh flowers for teachers – either a mixed bouquet or sunflowers to brighten their day! Top your Sunday off with the smooth musical sounds of guitarist Dave Winstone. We have it all at the Montrose Sunday Market!
