Thank You Everyone for a Great Event!

Our 1st Annual Montrose Food and Brewfest on July 27 was a huge success and we hope that you were able to join us. The event was so much fun and brought in people from across Southern California and beyond who had never been to Montrose and who plan on returning. Of course, we had many locals from around the area as well.     Although it was warm outside, the participants enjoyed our live music and sampled 30 different types of craft beers, seven different types of wines from Rosso Wine Shop and hard cider shipped all the way from Oregon! If you missed our event, we are planning on having a 2nd Annual Montrose Food and Brewfest and we hope that you will join us for that. As you know this was a fundraiser for the Glendale Police Dept. Explorer Program, the Glendale Firefighters Club and the Crescenta Valley Sheriff Support Group. All raise funds to support underfunded needs in these organizations. Knowing this, we wanted to be sure to thank the following sponsors of the event; we could not have done it without them: Basin 141, Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant, New Moon, Ocean View Restaurant, Gio’s Baguettes & More, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Kebab Daddy, Giuseppe’s Pizzeria, Montrose Bakery & Café, Schreiner’s Fine Sausages, Frank’s Famous Kitchen, Thee Elbow Room, Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria, Stone Brewing, Angel City Brewery, Eagle Rock Brewery, Golden Road Brewery, Hanger 24 Brewery, Karl Strauss Brewing, Ninkasi Brewing, Noble Ale Works Brewery, Fireman’s Brew, Drake’s Brewing, Wolf Creek Brewing, Coronado Brewing, Rev. Nat’s Hard Cider and Rosso Wine Shop.

We want to say thank you, too, to the Glendale Fire Fighters Club for manning our free water booth and keeping everyone hydrated on a very hot and humid day. The firefighters even went out and walked around the event with a red bucket filled with ice and cold water to make sure that anyone who needed water had it. Trader Joe’s of Montrose, Gelson’s of La Cañada, Vons of Montrose and Sprouts of La Cañada generously donated the water. You can thank MV Chamber president Pat Longo of Andy’s Transfer and Storage and our treasurer Scott Trulik of Ocean View Investments Group for sponsoring the commemorative glasses that everyone received upon admission. Thank you to our media sponsors LA Weekly and CV Weekly for advertising our event to the local community and the Los Angeles community. We were happy to have Robin Goldsworthy, the editor of our local newspaper, and her staff from the CV Weekly at a booth inside our event!

Our 37th Annual Oktoberfest is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 4 from noon to 11 p.m. on Honolulu Avenue, so mark your calendars!
