Lights! Camera! Action! Free Movies and Free Popcorn!
It’s time once more to drink in a balmy summer’s evening under the stars as the Montrose Shopping Park Association presents its 8th Annual Montrose Family Film Festival on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and Aug. 19. Two outdoor locations … four great films … all free!
That’s right … free to the public! At this very popular event there is no charge for admission. And we will be serving up freshly popped movie popcorn, also free! This is our way of saying “thank you” to the many patrons and fans of the Shopping Park. It’s on us!
Showing at the parking lot adjacent to Andersen’s Pets – the former site of the Montrose Theater – you can settle in for Blue Sky’s animated “Ice Age – Collision Course” (PG) on Friday, then return Saturday for the 30th anniversary screening of “The Princess Bride” (PG). Or bring the family to the Montrose Travel parking lot on Friday for Pixar’s “Ratatouille” (G). Come back again on Saturday for the J.K. Rowling Harry Potter prequel, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” (PG).
Live bands take the “stage” at 6 p.m., followed by some great cartoons for kids of all ages at 8 p.m. Right around 8:20, hunker down with the family and your free popcorn and enjoy the show! Seating is provided. Come early to experience the wonderful shopping and dining in the Montrose Shopping Park. Many of our businesses will be open late …
