The Sunday of Summer

They say that August is the Sunday of summer and we’re definitely feeling that sentiment. While we’re still enjoying the summer sun and activities, we are also gearing up for what’s to come on “Monday.”

Oktoberfest is just around the corner and, though COVID-19 mandates and protocols are still changing every few weeks or so, we are keeping up with them and adjusting accordingly. As of now, facemasks will not be required at our Oktoberfest event on Saturday, Oct. 2. However, we strongly recommend you wear one, even if you are vaccinated. This suggestion comes at the advice of the state and county. One thing is for certain, though; you need to come ready to dance and sing the night away with our headliner Past Action Heroes, and local quarantine favorite, The Mary Dyer Band (yes, their name comes from the two cross streets they play on every Saturday, right here in La Crescenta) while enjoying classic German beer and brats.

But just before Montrose Oktoberfest, we hope to see you all at our first in-person mixer since 2020! CV Weekly will be hosting it outdoors in their parking lot on Thursday, Sept. 23 from 6-7:30 p.m. There will be opportunity drawings (lots of local fun prizes to win) and it will be a great opportunity to meet all of our new business members. Come have a drink and small bite while catching up on some much-needed mingling.
