»Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce “Our Business is Your Business”

Please help us welcome five new members this month.

Just in time for the new school year, Crescenta-Cañada College Advisor has opened on Honolulu Avenue in La Crescenta. Owner (and public school math teacher) Mohammed Elzanaty finds it very important for students to receive college and career coaching throughout high school, starting as freshmen. Students who do so get the help and guidance they need to achieve their goals and get ahead.  Learn more at cccollegeadvisor.com or call Mohammed at (818) 430-2738.

Glendale resident Mindy Stackpoole is the new publisher of La Crescenta-Montrose Neighbors, a local magazine featuring families and businesses of the Crescenta Valley. The first issue of this glossy publication will soon hit the magazine racks (and our shelves here at the Chamber office). If you would like to advertise or learn more, contact Mindy at (415) 218-4283 or mindy.bvm@gmail.com.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1614 has been a community partner with the CV Chamber for years. Recently it became a full-fledged member and we’re delighted to have it. Dating back to 1914, the VFW is one of the country’s most influential veteran support groups. They are also strong leaders of community involvement, including support for youth groups and other organizations. Contact Mike Baldwin or Dick Clubb at (818) 541-1336 or post1614ca@gmail.com.

Curtis Yoo of Tesla Energy, a solar and sustainable energy company, wants people to look closely at their electricity bill. Are there ways you could be saving money? Combine rooftop solar panels with a Powerwall battery to sustainably power your home and perhaps put extra cash in your pocket. See if Tesla Energy solar is right for you at www.tesla.com/energy or call Curtis at (818) 395-9358.

The Verdugo Workforce Development Board and Verdugo Jobs Center are powerhouses of assistance for local job searchers. Part of the City of Glendale, they partner with Glendale Community College, Glendale Community Services & Parks and other agencies to bring employers and job seekers together in meaningful ways.  Contact VWDB Executive Director Judith Velasco or VJC Manager Melissa Younesian at (818) 548-2053 for more information.
