Foothills Business Community Expo to showcase local resources

Ted Ayala

In just a little under two weeks, the MVCCC, in tandem with the chambers of commerce of Crescenta Valley and La Cañada, will be hosting the 10th Annual Foothills Expo at the Verdugo Hills Hospital. Every year, businesses from all over the region come together to display their goods and services to the public at the Expo. Make sure to mark that date on your calendar for the Expo – Wednesday, Sept. 8! It’s still not too late for any interested businesses to participate at the Expo. If your business would like to participate in the Foothills Expo, call our chamber office at (818) 249-7171 for more information.
Every week that passes by, I can smell and taste those bratwursts ever more strongly. Oktoberfest, as you must know, is just over a month away. The MVCCC is still accepting sponsorships and volunteers to help out at the Oktoberfest. For sponsors, this is a great opportunity to have your business seen by tens of thousands of people. For volunteers, this is an event that will be great fun to work and you’ll get to meet your neighbors from the area. Any interested sponsors or volunteers should call the MVCCC office to obtain more detail about how to participate.
It seems like it was just last week since we enjoyed our last Artwalk. But here it comes again! Visit the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 18 and gaze at some of the exquisite offerings our local artists have on show. Many fine art pieces will be found: oil paintings, water colors, sculptures, etc. If you’re an artist who would love participating in our upcoming Artwalk, call the MVCCC office to find out how you can join.
Allow me to take the time and introduce some new members to the MVCCC family. Our new members this month are: the Law Office of Phillip Roitman – (678) 641-0136; G-Tech Home Inspection – (818) 535-5464, gthomeinspection@gmail.com; Standing Tall Chiropractic – (818) 249-WELL (9355), dr.dale@thedoctorofthefuture.com; and New York Life Insurance: Armine Malkasyan, (818) 606-5932, amalkasyan@ft.newyorklife.com. Congratulations to all our new members and we look forward to helping you prosper for many years to come.
