Welcome to Our New Members!
The Crescenta Valley Chamber family grew this month by four. Get to know our newest members.
Ginny Atherton of Ginny Atherton Flute Studio understands that some children dislike practicing the flute because the instrument can be too large and heavy. Helping students select the right flute for them is the first step in Atherton’s process. With degrees from SUNY and USC Thornton School of Music, Ginny Atherton is a flutist and educator for students at every level. She taught in New York, England and Bolivia before settling in the Crescenta Valley in 1980. To learn more about lessons, please call (818) 353-5439 or meet Ms. Atherton at the Expo on Sept. 9.
You might already know PMCS Computer Service Company because they’ve been helping local businesses and residents with their computer needs since 1983. For 32 years they’ve been at the same location, the place some locals call the “time & temperature” building near the bike shop on Honolulu Avenue in Montrose. President Gary Emirkhanian wants to reach out to the community and remind them that PMCS is a business-to-business specialist, offering services including network management and computer repair. PMCS designs and maintains network operations for Montrose Travel and other businesses in the area. They can help you, too. Call them at (818) 957-5647.
Interim HealthCare of Pasadena is a local franchise of the 40,000-person strong national organization, Interim HealthCare. The team of Gannon Brown and Lizeth Lopez in the Pasadena office can help residents with in-home care, such as senior care, pediatric nursing and therapy, as well as home-based hospice care. They also assist clients such as hospitals, nursing homes and physician’s offices with supplemental staffing. Interim HealthCare has been around since 1966 and operates within a framework of core values: integrity, compassion and customer focus. They are particularly attuned to the needs of veterans. For more information, contact General Manager Gannon Brown at (626) 219-6348.
“It’s our city. Let’s take care of it.” That’s one of the mottos of Glendale Clean & Beautiful, Inc., our fourth new member. Glendale Clean & Beautiful is an organization operated by dedicated volunteers and representatives of the public, private and non-profit sectors who work together to conduct service projects that make our city a great place to live and conduct business. Their programs are directed to efforts in community beautification, recycling and sustainability, and graffiti and litter prevention and eradication. To that end, the CV Chamber will be teaming up with Glendale Clean & Beautiful on the upcoming Foothill Clean-Up Day on Oct. 24 in the morning. More information about that soon. Until then, learn more about GC&B by contacting Chairman Grant Michals at admin@glendalecleanandbeautiful.org.
You will have the opportunity to meet representatives from all of these businesses, and many others, at the Foothills Community Business Expo coming up Sept. 9. Hope to see you at this free event at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
