You Won’t Be Bored at an MSPA Board Meeting
Starting the day extra early to attend an MSPA (Montrose Shopping Park Assn.) board meeting can seem a little daunting at times, especially when you have a full day ahead of running your own business. After participating for many years, I can say the rewards far outweigh the effort. You see, we get to meet our neighbors and fellow merchants and learn to work things out together. It is especially encouraging to welcome a new, happy face as we did with CV High principal Linda Junge. The Montrose Shopping Park is here to serve the community and it was nice that Linda came by to introduce herself. CV High is in very capable hands and we wish them well in this new school year.
I love to hear from our merchants. We started a new segment whereby Montrose Ambassador Steve Pierce arranges for our merchants to introduce themselves and share a quick recap of their business. This month Mia Moore of Paradis Ice Cream introduced their mascot, the walking, talking Paradis Ice Cream cup. They are staying open later on these warm summer nights and will make your visit a fun, family time. Is there a reality show in the works? Let’s see…
Now these two ladies deserve applause! After burning the midnight oil Wednesday night to get the paper out, they managed to make it early on Thursday for our meeting. Cheers to Crescenta Valley Weekly Publisher Robin Goldsworthy and Reporter Mary O’Keefe who not only bring us local news but also do volunteer work for CV High’s Prom Plus, celebrating its 20 year anniversary. The MSP loves the Prom Plus kids and what they add to our events.
Well that’s it for this week. Remember to shop, dine, and enjoy yourselves in the Montrose Shopping Park. Thanks for your support!
