Grab A Slice of Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizza!
Self-control seems to go out the window when it comes to devouring a slice of pizza fresh from the oven. Tomorrow is National Cheese Pizza Day and the perfect excuse to visit one of our newest pizza eateries, Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizza at 2307 Honolulu Ave. The slices of pizza here are gigantic! One slice is equivalent to three and it even has its own custom wedge shaped box. The traditional cheese slice is only $4.49 or you can build your own. The Allen slice at $6.49 has an extra thin crust, white sauce, feta cheese, diced tomatoes, oregano, fresh cilantro and fresh basil. You can really get creative here! Treat yourself to a slice and celebrate the day!
There was a little mix up in our recent column featuring this pic so we’re running it again. Jason and Sarah Coker wanted their son Maximilian’s first haircut to be a special memory. So where did they take him? None other than to Bennie Corona at the Montrose Barber Shop (3810 Ocean View Blvd.). Bennie, owner Jack, Vito and Lynn are all pro barbers who work in a friendly atmosphere. This is where the locals go and where fathers bring their sons. You walk into Montrose Barber Shop and get the feeling all is well in the world. It’s like home!
Come for the shopping and stay for the live music! It’s shop & dine Friday in the Montrose Shopping Park! Pictured here are professional musicians Mark Towns on guitar, Christian Moraga on percussion and Eddie Resto on bass. The merchants of the shopping park pay to have them perform from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for your shopping and dining enjoyment. Happy September everyone! Thanks for supporting your local “one-of-a-kind” boutiques and cafés. www.shopmontrose.com
